I've been around the block as such still treads here I stand
on a stage or basement floor and all the passage of land
in a room inside from sirens I heard the last breath of a man
naked hot up from slumber death behind the curtain.
I've seen a wood ladder turned to plasma all by Tesla Coil striking it
o yea a lightning bolt inside but more a rapture ignited us
a parlor trick electric
made the matter there flip
from what wood made up that ladder to a hot cosmic ripped
from it glowing in veins as our hearts were so reigned
shown but for a moment was the universe tamed?
Who's seen red bats of morning flying on as Crazy Jim played?
Who's an angel in becoming where her deathbed was made?
Ascension Ascension Ascension
Baby pop the spring with me
no fear all fluid tensions
Blood and sweat and flesh as fluid fearless spirits
witness left to mention
Ascension Ascension Ascension
Same old stones under sand sea or jungle but still standing
Back to dust, rock and ore
all's molten as all was before
